Y20 Hand-Held Rock Drill
The Y20 is a compact pneumatic hand-held rock drill for downward vertical drilling in medium to hard rock (f8–f18). Light and easy to carry, it is used in open-pit mines, natural stone quarries, infrastructure and construction works, and for foundry and industrial furnace cleaning. It runs with the FY200B external line oiler and uses air flushing, with a water connection available as an option. SET Makina has been building rock drills since 1991, and the Y20 is available in two versions: TIGER (premium) and LIGER (economy).

What is the difference between TIGER Y20 and LIGER Y20?
Both have the same performance specifications. TIGER Y20 is the premium version: CE marked, supplied with a 6-month warranty, a spare parts kit for one year of use and a serial number registered to the buyer. LIGER Y20 is the economy version, sold at a lower price without warranty, spare parts kit or CE marking, but with the water connection included.
Which version should I choose for my site?
Choose TIGER for continuous production, export projects or any site where CE marking is required. LIGER suits short projects, small quarries and contractors working on a tight budget where CE marking is not required. When you request a quote we send the price and features of both.
What rock hardness can the Y20 drill?
The Y20 is designed for medium to hard rock with a hardness of f8 to f18 on the Protodyakonov scale.
What hole diameter does the Y20 drill?
The Y20 drills holes from 32 to 45 mm in diameter, using drill steels with a 22 × 108 mm shank.
What compressor do I need for the Y20?
The Y20 consumes 1.32 m³/min of air at a working pressure of 6 bar, through a 3/4" air inlet. Choose a compressor with some extra capacity to cover hose losses. The drill should work within a maximum distance of 100 m from the compressor; for longer distances you need a TIGER Air Receiver.
Does the Y20 use water flushing?
The Y20 works with air flushing. A water connection is optional on TIGER Y20 and included on LIGER Y20, which lets you drill with air and water to keep dust down.
